Billy
Joel has gotten it right on several occasions (no commentary on right
to wrong ratio necessary - the guy's a talent). "...the more I
find out the less that I know, black and white is how it should be but
shades of grey are the colors I see...".
None of us are omniscient and youthful arrogance often (at least in my
family) leads to embarrassed head-shaking in retrospect as we grind out
the years.
Introspection and issues of maturity and interpersonal relationships
aside, most realities of life work along a different set of
rules. Unclouded by the nuances of emotion, feats of engineering
either work or they don't. Gravity has pretty much a
universally similar effect on all things, bright or beautiful or any
other state. (don't mess with me on the unified theory thing
either - we are pretty much all still tied to the surface of one rock
and the physics are cool but don't miss the point).
Bottom line -
liberals have always, always do, and will always be on the wrong side.
I am done with trying to see between their imaginary lines to the grey they live in. I am done with
equivocating. I am done with justification. Politically,
ideologically, and for the survival or our culture and democracy - the
gloves are off. Liberals ARE the enemy of the survival of
democracy.
Despite pathetic turns like the
McCain/Hillary hookup, the massive interference by the mainstream press in election and candidate coverage, ad nauseam, most thinking people get it.
It IS a thin veil of civilization that protects us from all living like
they do in most of the (arabic, radical islamic) world. A thin
veil that lies between us and racism, hatred, complete corruption,
misery, poverty of the masses, superstition, oppression and murder of
women, slavery, indentured service to monarchy, castes, and... is it
clear?
We hold these TRUTHS to be self-evident.... our country was founded
upon the basis that there are TRUTHS that liberate men and
society. Mixing the colors until everything is grey is not what I
intend to leave for my children. I read "1984" and got it.
No thanks.
The Clintons, Schumers, Kennedys, Feinsteins, Boxers, Durbins, and
Bidens of this generation HAVE to be defeated in the arena of politics
and in the hearts and minds of the next generation. Truth
matters. Real action is necessary. Changing history to fit
what you want to do today does nothing but condemn tomorrow.
The highs and lows and the crystal clear are all wrapped up in this -
there is distinction and perfect contrast between the ideals of
Hizbollah and Israel, Al Qaeda and the USA, Bin Laden and Bush.
If you cannot see that, are unwilling to admit it, or feel the contrast
in those ideals is not worth the fight - you and I are not on the same
side. You don't get it. And your irresponsibility with the
truth disqualifies you (in my book) from any leadership position where
that same irresponsibility may cost my children their culture or their
very lives.
