Did I Mention Irresponsible?

DId I forget to mention the radical irresponsibility of the left?

I profess no expertise in the financial markets.  I have had my share of dealings with WallStreet, a (often unpleasant) smattering of federal contracts and negotiations, and lots of negotiations with foreign owned interests.  Given this present debacle, I can say authoritatively, the answer does NOT lay in selling control of our financial security into the hands of a stated and sworn enemy of democracy.

I don't know if this is the top of the "duh" list, but it is pretty close.  Nonetheless, the democrats in general and the hard left in specific, with MSM promotion, will flood the public with thanks for this "benevolent" consideration - and they will push to get it done as well.  The self-serving hypocritical pandering empty visionless suits that they are.

Radical irresponsibility.  My money, my government, my children, my family's lives.  How dare they.

But they will.

Reid is claiming "no one knows what to do"!.  Boehlert is no better.  From congressional leadership?  No wonder we are here!!

Listen Nancy and Harry - take some advice.  Quit listening to your own ego and the the Hollywood circus you surround yourselves with.  Do something for the good of the Nation and get out of the way.  There is a lot to do - let us get it done.  You and your kind have drug the rest of us, kicking and screaming over the last 50 years, into this pit of your irresponsibility and lack of accountability.

You were managing Freddie and Fannie into the mess they are in.  You made the rules that forced the financial markets and eat what you served from on high and call it a good deal. Government means no accountability - that cannot be good busines.

Get out of the way... let us fix it.  Go home and enjoy the safety and security that the rest of us will have wrought out of your disaster.

A friend, who is Vietnam vet and whom I (along with many others) consider a hero, sent me this definition of a veteran.

What Is A Veteran?

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve is 'someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to and including his life.'

Is anyone surprised that the left and Gawker.com and Moveon.org would hack Palin's email?  I wonder if Hillary will put one percent of the effort into publicizing this illegal activity that she put into the pursuit of Watergate (or that she put into obfusgating in Filegate or Travelgate)?  Certainly the basic criminality of the event is much more plain than in Watergate.

It MUST be remembered that the left hates conservativism.  They do not want to convert us, they want us destroyed as a political movement.  For some, it goes beyond that. 

For those few - Moveon.org and others - personal destruction is warranted, anyone who is not a convert to the left is fair game and worthy of their livelihood, lifestyle, property and freedom being revoked by the state or whoever will play patsy and get it done.  There are no innocent bystanders and no rules to the fight - it is simply unrepentant, undisciplined seek and destroy.

A challenging day - It All Matters

Patriotism is not defined by your lapel.  It is not defined by your hometown.  It is not defined by where you went to school.  It is not defined by where you go to church.  Patriotism is not defined by challenging authority.  It is not defined by protests you showed up at.  It is not defined by most things the MSM would have us cite as evidence.
 
Patriotism is defined by what you teach your children about our history and the goodness of this Country.  And how you teach them to avoid what we did wrong.
 
Patriotism is defined by what you say when you have those conversations with God.  And whether you ask for condemnation or preservation (by alignment with His designs).
 
Patriotism is defined by whether what you do is to accomplish your own ends or to the best ends of this great nation.
 
If this is patriotism - An Interesting Objective  ... the word rings hollow.
 
On such a wild ride as today is (Lehman, the World Bank moves, OPEC in high gear, China, and all the rest) we need leadership which/who can get outside of their own interest and stay on course with what is BEST for the Nation.
 
In this election, that does not leave many options.  Sen. Biden has left a tangled trail of self-interest and self promotion.  Obama has demonstrated nothing but empty rhetoric and self-aggranizement.  McCain, while certainly flawed, has a history of service that has strayed outside the lines of party loyalty.  Palin seems solid in her commitment to conservative principles.
 
Patriotism is not a hollow word.  It is not "My country right or wrong", it is "My country - great and lets make it better".

Ike is incredible.  Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Gulf states.
 
 
More on California train mess - God be with the families.
 
 
With gas hitting $6 becasuse we have not built inland refineries (or ANY refineries for that matter) as we have been trying to do for 40 years (thanks to democrats, liberals and waffling rebulicans - in that order), Israel getting the cold shoulder as Ahmadinejad gets lauded for visiting the U.S. while committing to Israel's doom (thanks to waffling republicans, liberals and general idiots - sometimes indistinguishable) and a general abdication of duty and responsibility by elected and appointed officials (too many examples to link - hit any of the MSM sites - look for flowery language and the word "accomplishment" or "investment" or anything they cite as "positive development") it is hard to see cause for hope.
 
Take heart.  IT will not be paradise but, we willl win in November.  Congressional races written off by the MSM and conservatives have life.  The presidency will be supported by a great conservative VP.  It will be OK.  We just have to stay the course and take ground inch by inch.

OK - life interrupted.  On we go.

First, our thoughts and prayers are with the Gulf Coast - again.  We hope and pray the loss of life has been minimal to none.  Property can be fixed.

Secondly, our thoughts and prayers to all those affected by and victims of the MetroLink disaster - I can only imagine.  One poor gentleman was apparently talking about his experience in the 2005 crash when the wreck occured.

Third - let me tell you how much I like Sarah Palin.  The more I know, the better it gets.  Charlie Gibson, in his best ninja mode, got man-handled by this bright woman.  The press is scrambling, as they have in every election in the last 50 years, to demonize and degrade the conservative.  What they accomplish is outing themselves as the reprobate leftists that they are.

I would advise anyone to go read Reagan's Diaries.  An amazing view of the press is one of the many highlights which unfold.  The MSM has been actively supporting ANYTHING anti-American for decades.  The left in general has stood up for socializing our form of government for a score of decades.  This is not new with Palin.

It comes back to (as Whoopi Goldberg so ineloquently demonstrated on The View) the fact that the left and, for the vast majority, the MSM are driven by no principle or ideal OTHER than America is evil and socialism, if not communism, is the fix.  Despite the fact, like so many fanatics over history, they have no real concept as to the consequences of the implementation of their ideas.  They are radically irresponsible.

So help us God if they get control of the Executive Branch at such a time as this.
